i miss the hectic schedule of school. at least i feel like i'm accomplishing something when i'm at school. its something i can be good at. something i can get lost in. this year has definitely brought about many changes. church. school. friends. its quite a big change honestly. im not so sure if its for the better or worst. im happier now, in a icandowhateverilike sense. but i miss the old life sometimes. i miss the friends i used to talk to. although i know i can never go back to then. so is it just accepting what i have now rather than complaining about the past even though im not happy. not quite as i would have liked to believe.

i have got a tonne of work. tmr i wont be sleeping cause i have to rush 3 layouts for history of graphic design poster due on mon 9am. journal for friday isnt completed yet. honestly i dont really care anymore. i absolutely hate work that needs to be done everyday, never ceasing, weekends are the only days i get breaks from those stupid journals and ideation homework, but i still have to do all the stupid assignments.

drawing class is fun :)
i dont like the pencil part. but we're like allowed to do like pen and any other mediums we want for the sketchbook thingy :) yes yes pen drawing is what im gonna do.

still feel quite lethargic even though its only 12-3 everyday. might be the travelling. i dont know. im going to be drawing like crazy the next 3-4 weeks. heheh. yes no more staring at the computer.

school started this week, its been fine so far. im typing this on my new laptop :) i have tons of homework, and its not exactly fun to do cause its essay writing and like conceptualizing and like researching and like illustrator practice, hurhur, strange thing was, i came to poly to skip the language studies forever and now im going back to english lessons, its not too bad though, just that im a little rusty loh. class's fine, getting to know classmates better :) there's like some nice people in the class. everybody dresses pretty well, i got a bus buddy who takes the same bus as me :) slowly adjusting to the 9-3 timetable where we just eat a little during breaks and stuff. i wear shoes everyday, no more slippers :( i may join photog if i can find the booth. slowly learning how to use illustrator but i feel more at home with photoshop. need to go take pictures next week for 2 projs. i climb the stairs everyday to get to the classrooms. i like the food at the design canteen. shiok man :) i can play mousehunt and RC everyday from 9-12 in the lab.

so i went to school yest, the last day of orientation haha.
got my matric card, temasek design shirt, and orientation shirt and course info :)
we won best spirited school award! YAY! can't beat us for that okay! made a few friends here and there in school. too bad all not from my course..

my timetable this week is shiok la. only 9-3 this whole week, i thought it was going to be like 9-6 or something, but i think that would be in the later part of the sem.

laptop is coming on tuesday :) yes! finally. my macbookpro!

school's starting on monday. ambivalent? cause its like when school starts im going to be tired, have to wake up at 6.30 everyday :/ but i know its gonna be fun :)

i dunno, i've not been doing much recently.
went out with the fluffs on sunday. harhar, quite fun posing with random sumo statues on orchard. and catching up :) everyone's still the same, i actually miss the times we had. the laughter and silly jokes haha.

the other two refused to pose with us, its stupid so they say, haha oh wells, its nothing wrong having some fun while you're still young. and stupid. we wanted to find more sumo statues but only saw those two... never mind, next time.

got my film back for the hacoflex. not too bad. although some were over/under exposed. ohwells its not too bad considering its fully manual and i followed the sunny 16 rule.

will post pics up of that roll once ive sent it for scanning / print then i scan it on my own (whichever is expensive anyway)

work's good. but i may not have a job soon, cause they're already interviewing for a permament staff for the position im currently helping to fill. no big deal actually, more time to do other stuff till school starts :) which im anticipating rather eagerly.

i found something cool :)
nope i didnt buy a polaroid.
its this software thingy called polardroid and it converts your pics into polaroids lookalikes digitally :) pretty cool eh. since there's not going to be any more polaroid films selling anymore :/

haha this is going to be real fun.

someone jumped/fell from my block today. :S
i dont know. i feel kinda sick thinking about it. really sick in fact.
its the second time i've seen the blue tent at my block.
the previous time it was when i was 12? :/
i really dont like it. creeps me out...

anyway. the real proper job starts next week, mmm at least its part time, so i still can continue to enjoy some of my holidays till poly starts. but the workplace's so far, like 1 hour +++ away? though i have my ipod to keep me company now so its not too bad. and im still waiting for my bank acc card to arrive :) its taking a while. long while. mmm. wished i had time to go and shoot pictures, havent had the chance to go test out the hacoflex yet. hopefully before i start poly. i miss shooting pictures. now mainly all i do is sit in front of the com and work, for a pittance too haha. oh wells, but its fun so im not complaining.

can't wait to get a macbook when school starts :)

abby at the singapore biennale 08.
was testing out my voigtlander, seems fine just that i really cant get the hang of manually focusing the lens. so almost all the pictures were blur :/

i dont know. its 2009, strangely, yet another year again.
2008 was dandy, Os came and flew past, i got to know my yd much more this year which was a real blessing, sat on a plane for the first time in my life yup. so, im finally 17 ...if you go by year :)

but still nothing ever still feels the same now. i can't let this go. until i know you've moved past me. until there is at least some sort of decent proper closure to this. until i know you're truly happy. until you've let go and moved on. one day you'll wake up, and you'll see that this was never the best thing that happened, cause that's always what happens.

it's christmas once again. strangely i find myself thinking of chol back in chiangmai. kinda actually wished that we were stranded over there longer, it would really have been nice to spend christmas over there as well too. oh wells, God willing perhaps we'd be able to return there next year same time same people? :) kinda miss the kids and all over there :/ and singapore is really a boring place to spend christmas anyway.

mmm, nothing major's really happening in my life now i guess, im just waiting for the dreaded results, and see how it goes after that.

it was really a blessing to be there, with the kids and doing the farming and all. i really quite miss the place, so i hope to go back again next year. didnt mind the extended stay due to the airport closure, it worked out well in the end anyway and we got to spend more time there :D

so firstly i went to play sims 2 at shirley's house, its been a good 5-6 months since i've played it, feels really good :)

anyway then went to 4e2 class outing today, to sorta celebrate? but choosing to watch the coffin for a movie was quite stupid. 6 dollars down the drain, i hate horror movies :/madagascar would have been a much better choice but ya.

then i went to collect my voigtlander :D it looks so much better than in the pictures, quite pleased now :)

oh it comes with a super nice vintage leather casing too :D :D :D

and tmr i'm gonna bake cheesecake :D

yay, Os are finally over. i've waited for this day to come for a long time already, time to start enjoying my holidays good and proper :)

reasonably okay today, for science pract.
i made a few errors here and there, but at least i didnt draw my graph upside down like in prelims.
so overall im really happy and thankful that all went well :)

sigh kinda never expected today to come, i mean like after this month my whole secondary school life is like kinda over? haha. its cliché but its true, time really flies.

science practical and ss paper today? was just bad. didnt feel good about the both exams, but no big deal, its just prelims at least and im quite thankful it isnt Os.

stupid limewater didnt turn chalky even though it was supposed to, so i think i minus-ed quite a bit of my chem marks off >:S and for physics my whole calculation was wrong = whole graph wrong = fail :(

i think ive burned out from studying already, heh. and my prelims arent even over. but i shall persevere, its only 2 1/2 more months to go. after that i'll make sure it'll be the most happening holiday i ever have my whole life.

oh i want the holga 135bc (: might be selling my current holga to get it though.

im in a tangle again. im just feeling overwhelmed again by anything and everything hehhs. obviously self imposed, i do think too much about things for my own good. alright anyway tmr marks the start of my prelims. english paper first, so not worrying much (:

ive taken a recent liking to secondhand serenade whom i thought had the most cool members cause they had like super similar voices and nice harmonizing. then i read this somewhere:

nope we didnt go to watch fireworks in the end, pretty disappointed at first cause i was really quite enthu about fireworks. drizzling plus a shortage of food led to early dinner, at j8's mos.

yeah i deflated like a balloon at the thought of missing fireworks at first, i mean all the trouble to go to marina bay past all the crowds and policemen?!!!!

but while having dinner at mos, we kinda had a really good and nice and warm kinda conversation, catching up with each other lives (someone just got attached! haha!), a conversation that we havent had for a long time. we were just sitting at mos for 2 hours +++ and being totally retarded haha.

i guess it was better than fireworks in a strange way, after all it was one of those conversations that i realy missed having, the ones that leave you feeling all blissful and happy inside.

so yeah, it wasnt so bad missing fireworks after all...

cross country yesterday was o-k, i came in 7th so i got a bronze medal from the d&t department. but i'd wished they brought in the milo van again, like last year haha.

watched dark knight yest too with shumin. joker was pretty scary, and christian bale was quite handsome, but yeah overall i liked the movie though i didnt really get some of the fighting scenes. a must watch cause there's christian bale! and of course a good story line.

oh and and tmr im going to catch fireworks with shir jen and ht at the benjamin shears bridge :D i actually cant wait for tmr :) but i need to find a red shirt and a tripod for the cam. i cant wait wait wait haha.

i tried contact lenses today. got a trial packet of 5 lenses free. haha spent about an 1hour learning how to put them on, thought my eyes would be too small but it fit in the end (: it was quite good after that, like i had perfect vision all along and wasnt dependent on specs, but i'd prob stick to specs cause

1) contacts make me look younger than i already am
2) i dont like feeling my eyeballs to stick something on it

the optometrist was quite nice? ;)

oh but my degree went higher, 175/225 plus astigmatism 50 on both eyes, hmmm...

one of my guitar strings just snapped, again.

june has flown past me. im caught unawares. i want it to last forever or at least till i stop dreaming. all these laidbackness and just enjoying life without school, without homework and expectations, and stupid subjects that i really dont like, its really feels good, damn good.

but sigh tmr i have emath in the morning for 2 hours and for the rest of the week too. holidays should never have to come to an end, or at least no one should ever have holiday school, ever. i dont want to study for Os now. but thats cause im feeling v laid back and laazy now, and contented. ah wells get up, get back to school, to the right thing i should be doing, even though it sucks.

OH and i just inherited a precious heirloom from the 1970s, an old asahi pentax k1000 from my dad! a classic manual SLR and it came with prime lenses!!! :D :D :D that was the highlight of yesterday! totally cant wait to shoot some more and post it up! :) film cameras rock totally!

okay i havent got the time to blog about retreat and church camp yet, been quite tired after both camps thats why, both are good but i think i got more rest in retreat than in church camp. retreat was good. opened my eyes quite a bit (:

church camp too, but it was slightly more hectic than retreat. ive got crazy church camp roomates haha.

i have developed more films (: (: (: maybe post them soon again

anyway sunrise view in church camp (malacca/everly resort) from my room. i know the sunrise cant really be seen but i didnt really have a good view of the sunrise or sunset. but i thought the sky was not bad. quite nice...

tired. i dont exactly know what to blog about. but its 142 am on a sunday morn and i feel like writing something.

today or rather last night, i was told to focus on my studies and stop having so many commitments. and to go tuition for math. i totally/almost understand where they're coming from, but then i mean cant i at least do something i enjoy doing, even if its time consuming and distracting (a little), and not at all studyish. but wanting me to go for tuition immediately and dropping everything after sunday afternoon is a little too much. who spends their sunday afternoon for 4 hrs in a stupid room learning math somewhere at dhoby ghaut...??? and they expect me to get 6 points for l1r4 so i wont have to go rp, and so that i can support the family once i get a job...who says going rp means its the end... heh... i hate expectations, and major exams...

OH! and... im finished my roll of slides on my vivitar already!!!! sent it for developing, its 11 bucks... i shall stick to norm film next time... will post when i collect it next friday :) :) :)

feeling quite tired now, but i know its worth it, it always is (:

and i got back report book today. was ok. didnt improve but maintained my level position which isnt good, cause im slightly below average.

thinking of getting a new domain, need to be serious about it, as in i hope i wont neglect it and all like i did with mixxedtape but that was fun while it lasted.

i love my vivitar :D

monday is my chinese Os. and i know i'll be super busy the whole of this week end so i cant study. mmm....

i dont know why im blogging so frequently these days, maybe cause not much to do on the com, or rather im too lazy to do the things i have to do. so i just blog, cause its a braindead activity and its convenient. went yf today after a while. army day was o-k. talked to the usual people here and there. and so im not going night cycling, which is sad. but ok theres always a next time, and im going to the bbq which has lots of food. its a fair deal i guess? :)
